About Baron Engineering Group

Baron Engineering Group is a Melbourne-based mechanical and structural engineering practice specialising in reverse engineering, component redesign and technical documentation.

The practice is led by a mechanical and structural engineer trained in Germany, holding an MSc in Production Engineering and a BSc in Mechanical Engineering and Materials Science. Over six years of professional practice in Germany covered structural steel design and offshore wind foundation engineering — disciplines where getting the material, the loads and the fatigue life right is not optional.

That background shapes how we work. A reverse engineering job is not a scanning task; it is an engineering task that happens to begin with a scan. Understanding why a component failed, what it was made from, and what it was actually asked to do is what separates a replacement part from a better one.

We work natively across German, English and Arabic, and to both European and Australian standards.
